Aquaclean by Ettore
The Ettore company of California (it was Mr.Ettore who invented that most useful of tools, the squeegee in 1934), offers a down-to-earth solution for cleaning medium-high windows without the need of ladders, cradles or access platforms; the Aquaclean uses ordinary tap water, but filters it through a reverse-osmosis process into pure water.
You know the spotting and smearing that you see on glass that has just been cleaned, after the surface has dried? Well, that is caused by the minute impurities present in all tap water and we tend to use chemicals, vinegar or other substances to combat it. With osmotic water, you don't have to worry about it - it needs no additives or detergent and it dries without spotting, even in sunny climates. |

"The Aquaclean is mounted in a trolley (alternatively in a van), so it can be moved around at will. The 160 litre tank means that the system is self-contained and avoids hazardous and unsightly water hoses trailing across the ground, back to a tap. Assisted by the in-built pump, the operator can pole up to 12 metres high with the carbon fibre poles - these are 12% lighter than fibreglass and 40% stiffer. The pump will supply two poles simultaneously, delivering 99.999% pure water for two operators.
Window-cleaning the Aquaclean way is upto 75% faster than conventional methods. And you can't fall off it! |
